CONGRATULATIONS! I love to come here and read these encouraging updates. Keep up the great work. I'm coming along much slower but happy for it, nonetheless. Sheri Byrne Poughkeepsie, NY

Great job Debbie! Keep up the good work! I also had my RNY surgery on 11/11/03. I am now down 63 lbs. and weight 235. I couldn't be happier! I don't have any pictures to share yet, but I am working on it! Your right, we truly have been blessed!

OK, I'm jealous! I had my surgery on 11/11/03 too, and I'm only down 56 lbs. (I started at 306, now at 250) Debbie, do you exercise? I think that's my biggest problem, and not enough fluids. Can you tell me what an average day of eating/exercise is like for you. Leah Booth

Hi Leah! Don't be jealous! 56 lbs. is great! Could you have ever imagined before surgery, that you could have lost weight so fast?! I am totally thrilled for all of us! This ultimately was the best decision (besides having my son) I have ever made! I do exercise everyday (except Sunday). I go in to work early every morning and walk 1 mile, then after work I go to "Curves for Women" and work out. I have never been so dedicated. I was never really the kind of person who would go out of her way to exercise. Now I get bummed if I miss a day! I started exercising to help me "snap back" and promote weight loss. I follow the meal plans pretty strictly (every now and then I catch myself getting into the chips). I have changed the way I shop for everyone in my house. I only by lowfat and sugar free snacks for my family. Also, I don't by any soda, only 100% juice. This surgery has not only become a great thing for myself, but my husband and kids are benefiting as well. Oh well, I have babbled long enough! I wish you the best! Happy losing!!
