I am getting so discouraged, I love the way I look right now I am wearing a size 14 YES!!! Looks good too. But here is the problem I work out four times a week. I push myself hard too. To get the most out of my workout. I drink all my fluids most every day some days I even get in 80 oz. I eat good choices but I dont think it is enough on fitday it is showing me at 500 calories a day, about 20 g carbs and 50 g protien, I eat good choices: string cheese, Crab salad, cottage cheese, salmon, tuna, I still can only eat a little bit. Like one string cheese and I am full. so here is the problem, For the last two and one half weeks I have been stuck between 172-175 lbs, I know this cant be all I will lose. I am not even three months out yet. What can or should I do to get this weight moving again??????? I dont want to stop here. I know it is an evil thing in my head saying to eat less, but I was thinking I should try to eat more, What gives. HELP?????????????????????????????????

You have lost like 60 pounds..right? Your body is catching up. When I stop losing weight, then I usually start to lose inches. Don't stress too much, I started at 220 and have only lost 46 pounds. Good luck, Dawn

Actually... your doing really wonderful!! I have lost 49 lbs. and had surgery 3 days after you... I have also hit a plateau... but your body has to catch up with your weight loss... you don't want to loose your weight too quickly either. Be pround of how far you have come and know your going to keep on losing!! Take care and good luck! ~ Jess

Well, you get used to that awesome weight loss and it feels like a let down to see the scale stop. But I'm sure, like others said, it's your bodys way of playing catch up and things will even out. Take care, Kristen

Same situation here no weight loss in 2 maybe 3 weeks. I went to a support meeting last night and one of the women who had surgery around the same time as us is also standing still... This will pass. So they say Deborah

looks like we're all in the same boat. I myself had surgery on 11/3/03 and have been at the same weight now for about 2 weeks. I continue to do my workouts and eat the protien, but I'm not going to kill myself. The plateaus are hard to deal with but EVERYONE has them. Just have to keep telling ourselves they will pass. I think at 3 months or so our bodies must say "hey, what's going on here!!!" And then it tries to hold onto every calorie we ingest!! :0) Hang in there, it will pass. You're not being selfish, just normal.

PS: I did see some results when I got my first container of Whey Protien - (www.allthewhey.com), and I added a scoop to a bowl of chili - (I got the recipe from one of the sites I found here on Obesityhelp) making my lunch 50 g of protien - I saw a difference right away, not a lot of weight loss, but it moved. It definitely helps.
