Hi Everyone! I had my surgery Nov 5 and I am 50lbs down after 3 months! It feels fantastic! I started at 225 size 20 and I'm now 175 and size 14. I feel like a new person going into stores and trying on size 12 and 14 instead of the plus sizes. My 25 yr high school reunion is this summer.I hope to be down to an 8. After more than 20 years (I'm 41) of caring all that extra weight around and struggling with every diet possible my only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. Good Luck All!!! Colleen

Hi, my name is Joanna and I had my surgery, lap RNY, done at Abbott Northwestern with Dr. Schwartz on Nov. 4th, 2003. I am down 60 lbs but started alot heavier than you and a size 28. I am down to a size 22 and some 20's but have also lost 40 plus inches. I too feel great and am able to do things again, like playing basketball, without getting overly tired or hurting. I will be having my class reunion next year and hope to be at the same goal as you. Keep it up and pat yourself on the back.

Colleen -- Congratulations!!!! I had my surgery on 11/4. I get weighed tomorrow and last month I was down 40 lbs. -- I'm hoping I'm down 50+ when I get weighed. I think I am 'cuz my clothes keep getting bigger & bigger!! I started at 252 -- was wearing 20 & 22 clothes; last week I bought size 16 pants and an XL sweater. My next goal (after losing 50 lbs.) is to be like you & out of the plus sizes altogether! There are so many people I'd like to see when I'm down to a normal weight. I haven't been there since I was 12 years old, so no one will know what I can look like - including me! Continued good luck -- keep on losing!! Kathy
