New to Board - 11/14/03 Post-op
Hey everyone,
I'm new to this board, but have been hanging out in obesityhelp.com for well over a year. I had my surgery on 11/14/03 in Denver, and have lost a total of 58 lbs. so far. I've been feeling great and have been able to participate in the lives of my 3 kids more and more each week. I still struggle to eat enough because I'm simply not hungry, but I'm working on it. My favorite foods right now are scrambled eggs and crab legs. Meats and I don't really mix, particularly beef, so I stick to seafood mostly. I'm drinking 65-100 oz. of water everyday and just joined the gym nearby to jumpstart my weightloss again. I also work full-time as a hospital social worker. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of the fine folks on this board.

Hi Michelle,
I had my surgery on 11/14/03 in Portsmouth, NH!!
i have lost a total of 75 lbs. as of this morning and i find i get bored with my food by the time i get to the end. i have a hard time sometimes finishing my meal because it is just not appealling to me by the end. i always end up throwing some away!!
i don't eat seafood, never appealed to me. but i love beef and have been very lucky to be able to eat it after surgery. it has to be lean beef though no cheap burger or steak or it doesn't digest right.
i go to the gym too. (curves) and i love it!! i go between 4 and 5 times a week and i look forward to it. ( something i never thought i would hear this chubby girl say!!!)
i must say everyone i have met on the message boards have been very nice and this whole experience has been a very postitive one.
nice to meet you
Stacy
