too slow
You have lost 40 lbs, I think that is right around where most of us are. Are you near your period? I know when I had mine last I was stuck at a certain weight until it passed. I am not a doctor, I am just guessing by my own experience. Don't get depressed you are doing great!
Hope I have helped some
Heidi
You're doing fantastic - 39 pounds works out to be .6 pounds per day since your surgery - so a little more than a half a pound a day is pretty super! It's bothersome because it happens in chunks, you lose a large amount right away and then your body tries desperately to normalize itself - but don't worry - it'll break again soon, because you're taking in less food than you ever did before, and even less of that food is being absorbed by your body because of the removal of the upper part of your intestines. Your body won't be able to last for very long at that weight. Like that other person *****plied to your post, i'm not a doctor, I just have to believe in the science of the procedure - because I'm going through the same thing you're going through. WE WILL BE THIN!
take care!
Your doing just fine, everyone moves at there on pace and you may need to relize that the heavier people are the faster the pounds come off at first. I weighed 334 and have lost 50lbs. my surgery to was 11/18 but I started out almost a 90 lbs more than you. So take it a little at a time it will all work out for you. SO as you see I have a long ways to get to 219 wish I was there it can't come soon enough, as I am sure you are wishing for a much lower weight also. Bottom line it is going in the right direction we just have to follow our diets and be patient. Good luck. And don't get discouraged.
I had my surgery on November 24th, i started at 335 pounds, and have only lost 32 pounds. i actually gained a couple of pounds..... if thats even possible. I have not lost a pound in 2 weeks. I am able to eat alot more food though now. So even though its not close to what i ate before, I am getting more down. I too would love to get some feedback on the same issue.
I had my surgery on the same day and have lost 40lbs. It's very slow going but you should measure yourself. I have lost about 60" total and that always makes me feel better to get out the tape measure! Just think how good you feel!! It'll happen...one day at a time! I get frustrated too because I want it to be gone NOW!! But I have been overweight all my life so it's not going to happen that fast for me. I am thankful I had the surgery and have had no problems. I can gulp water and tolerate all kinds of protein. I can eat 3 -4 oz per meal, no snacks. I don't eat carbs as my program says protein only. I would rather just not eat, I don't get hungry. So I just take it as it comes...Good luck and don't get discouraged! Email me anytime at [email protected].
