I just reached 2 months out and have lost 51 pounds. I go the to the gym everyday, although I only walk for 45 to 50 minutes at 3.9 miles a hour. My hip bones seem to be hurting really bad these days so I don't do more than that. I get in all my water, but have problems taking my medicines. My hair is coming out slowly and I am seeing a thin spot right in front, uggg. But other than that I am doing good. Just curious how are others doing that had surgery right around the time that I did? Hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you Deborah, you are doing wonderful as well. I understand about the snacking thing. I to have a goal, actually 2, one of which I know I can make the other I am not so sure. 1. Make it to 155 by September (the not so sure goal) & 2. to fit into my dream wedding gown by September (I can get to that goal). I am 5'5 1/2 and started at 287, right now I am 235.2. Lets keep up the hard work!

Hi shariyun, I am 8 weeks post op today,i have lost 50 lbs and i am really starting to feel good, lost 6 inches in my waist and gone from a 4x shirt to a 2x shirt.I am not able to excercise as much as i need to due to a couple of ruptured discs in my back but it is getting better as the weight comes off.I have never been able to get in all my water, ussually dont even get close but i keep trying.I know what ya mean about the hip pain,my right hip didnt hurt at all before(left hurt from disc damage)but now it seems to hurt all the time.I havent had any hair loss yet either, was kinda hoping i would because i am almost bald anyway and it would save me the trouble of shaving it,LOL.I think the hair loss has a lot to do with protein intake,i have been taking in about 100 grams a day and that seems to be enough.I havent had any trouble taking my vitamins(when i remember to take them that is)even though a couple of them are like horse pills. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! 5 POUNDS A WEEK AND WE WILL BE AT OUR GOAL IN NO TIME.

Hi Candy, My name is Leah. I've been worried that my weight loss is too slow also. I had surgery on 11/11/03 and I've lost 43 lbs. You had surgery after me, and you've lost more than me. I think as long as we're losing at a steady pace, we'll be ok. I've just started a regular exercise routine, and I think it's helping to speed things up for me. My husband had surgery on 10/21/03, just 3 months ago and has lost 76 lbs. I'm really happy for him, but it's so frustrating watching him lose so fast and me so slow! I also think I haven't been getting enough fluids, which has probably prevented me from losing as fast as I should, so I'm trying to take in more fluids. Leah Booth 306/263/135ish

WOWSERS....everyone is doing so great! Even though I don't know anyone who had responded I am VERY proud of each and every one of you! We all have little things that are bugging us are our weight loss or little things that we are having problems doing, but like one poster said as long as the weight is coming off, all is GOOD! I finally came to the conclusion that we all lose at different rates. So regardless if you are a so called "slow loser" or "fast loser", you have nothing but support from my side of the loser game!
