Hi I had my surgery 11/11/03. I am down 37 lbs. But, I have to say that I am guilty of not exercising. Any motivation tips? Amy

Good morning, Amy! I did so well with walking the 1st month, but started to slack after week 4. What I did was buy a padometer (measures how far you walk) and also bought a non-skip CD player. It makes walking MUCH easier, and its fun to measure how far you walked. I usually walk 1/2 5-6 times a week. I am 8 weeks post op tomorrow and have lost 43 lbs!! Keep up the good work Amy!

Hi Amy, I live in Margate. I had surgery on same day. I work out at Curves every day. I love it. Also the Firefighter's park in Margate (Rock Island) has walking classes every tursday and thursday night. Its very relaxing to exercise under the stars. Mara

Hi. Congratulations on your weight loss. I have PCOS, a syndrome which causes weight gain. So, I am fighting it with the tool. Every morning I pop in a Richard Simmons tape, and do the ones that I can do. If I cannot do a routine, I keep moving with 2 pound hand weights and elastic cords. I look at the variety of sizes of those on the tape, and it gives me hope. I know that it is for a better, healthier future. At last I CAN have some control over my weight. It is a great power rush.
