Two months today
Hello, It's two months today that I had my surgery and I am down 37 pounds and 18 inches. I was just curious how other people who had their surgery the same time as me are doing. I am still learning how to adjust to this new life style and trying to get enough protein and calories in to have a significant weight loss. Any in put would be appreciated.

I'm doing ok. Still having a hard time getting ANY food in. I have had 2 strictures and 2 scopes and it is still hard for me to eat, just looking at food makes me ill. They say that feeling will go away. lol. I have lost 48.7 pounds so far according to the docs scale. Almost to the 1/2 century club. Still struggling to get protein and enough liquids in. I have been exercising though. Great job on your weight loss, keep up the good work.

Hi Darlene,
My first surgery was Nov 5th, my second was Nov. 13. I am doing great (now) !!
My protein diet is really horrible. I don't drink any protein shakes, but the food I eat has protein in it. I try to pick the best. I am down 42 lbs and have about 60 to go. I wanted to be smaller for my daughter's wedding in April. I am down 2 pant sizes maybe 3 and can now shop a Learner of New York (my daughter works there and gets a pretty good discount) LOL. The only problem I seem to be having is with my bowels. Before surgery I was everyday @ 5:00 (lol) but now I am once a week and that is with Milk of Mag. I am eating or at least trying different textures of food. So far so good, with the exception of Ham. I ate at Don Pablos the other night and had chips and salza and also 2 cheese casadias (sp). I was really full. I think the hardest thing for me right now, is not drinking while I eat. Hopefully I can wean myself from that. Let me know what you are eating and how you are adjusting.

Hi Jen,
I am trying just about every kind of meat and some fish and poultry and veggies. No salad yet, olives tho, they tasted yummy the first time I had one. I threw up twice so far and am trying to learn from my mistakes. I am getting used to not drinking while eating before and after. I think I am adjusting well. I also am finding some foods not appealing either, today I started eating Lox with cream cheese on a low carb mini bagel and got halfway thru it and had to stop. It didn't taste good to me anymore and I had to throw it away. I was having trouble with grazing at first and getting too much protein in now I am not getting enough calories in, so I have added protein bars into my daily routine to get enough protein and calories in. I am at a plateau again and stuck at 37 pounds, but hopefully that will end soon. As for bowel movements, I was like clock work too, every morning and maybe a few times a day, now it pretty much every other day, or so. Write me anytime Ladies if you want to compare notes. It's nice to converse with people who had surgery the same time.

I am about 9 weeks out, my surgery was on Nov 4th. I have lost a total of 39 pounds according to my home scale.
I feel like my loss is slow, but I am ok with that. I just want to lose another 30 pounds or so & I will be happy with my weight.
I do not have any troubles with eating. Had something get stuck once. Never thrown up, thankfully!
Sometimes food does not look or sound good. At those times I usually can manage some soup with broth. I am going through one of those stages now, where nothing tastes good, feels good in my pouch or smells good. But I made homemade chicken noodle soup & that went down very well! I have a hard time getting in enough protein & water!
I have gone down 2-3 pnts sizes & that I love! Shopping is more fun now!
God Bless!
