Hi, I had my surgery November 17 and I have lost 32 pounds. This surgery was the best thing that could have happen to me. First time on the site and look forward to meeting my peers and sharing success stories. Good luck to each of you and God speed.

Hello, all is going very well with me. When you say its hard to get anything down do you mean swallowing or whatever you eat makes you naseau? Also, try and take small bites and sips. I usually dont put anything in my mouth that exceeds an half of teaspoon. Its easier for me to chew and to swallow. I sip my drinks because gulping and large swallows fill you up very fast and can make you nausea. Try that and let me know how it works out. Make sure you take your vitamins. Will promote your energy level. Your missing out on a lot of nutrients so you need your vitamin supplement. The Centrum liquid is really good and it doesnt taste that bad either. Move around as much as possible. It really help me out. It really did. You come to far not to enjoy, take ccontrol and live your life to the fullest. Everything will be alright in due time.

Hi Tancey, I agree with you. It's the best think I've ever done also. I've lost 40 lbs and am very excited. I am still very tired sometimes and my problem is going to be exercise. Bad nback and knees are prohibiting me from doing a lot. Trying out yoga right now.

Hello Dianne, first of all Congratulations on your way to a whole new you. And congrats on your weight loss. Keep taking your vitamins and push yourself to participate in physical activity.I promise you you will start getting your strenght back. When did you have surgery and who was your physician? I have osteoarthritis(I hope I speeled that right) in my right knee that causes serious pain for me. As I drop the weight its getting better. Also I invested in some knee braces to support me as I try to walk or do exercise. Find something that you enjoy doing. And make the best out of it. I found that if I do walk in intervals, I benefit better than doin long term. t work, I get two fifteen minute breaks. I walk around the building on those breaks. Also, try and make the stationery bike your best friend. It doesnt put any pressure on your back or you knees. Keep in touch with me and we will find ways to help each other overcome the exercising barriers. And you are not that far from me. I live in Houston. Maybe we can meet for lunch or take a walk in the park or something.
