Down only 31 lbs.
I have also hit a plateau. I lost 16 pounds the first week and have only inched by since then. I have actually gained 1 pound this week.
I am so depressed!!! This is why all my diets before have failed, I lost some weight and then my body would just stop losing. Then I would start to gain
I have been following my diet to the letter and I dont even eat the sugar free candy. I keep my fat intake to a minimum and still nothing.
I have barely been able to exercise because I am starting to get an ulcer and it gets really painful
I just don't know what to do!!

Don't despair!
I had my surgery on November 4th 2003 & I have lost 38 pounds so far. Some people have lost so much more than me in two months. I have hit a couple of plateau's since the surgery.
One plateau was 2 1/2 weeks long & I was getting scared that I would not start losing again, but I have!
I have just accepted that I am a slow loser, but I am losing! That is the good part!
So please remember that everyone's body is different & will lose differently.
Just keep doing the exercises you can do & eating according to the plan & you will succeed!

Did you start at a lower weight than most? Is it that you're losing lbs slow but also losing inches in the mean time? It would be frustrating, but hopefully it is jus that your body is playing catch up better than mine! Here's to hoping your body is not goign to let you have one bit of saggy skin!
Also, what do you eat? Howmuch? Do you keep track of all your intake on www.fitday.com ? that may help. Are you getting in about 60 grams of protein? 30-40 grams of carbs? How many calories do you eat in a day?
Are you walking?
Maybe we can find a clue in there as to why you are losing slower than others. I don't think you are doing bad at all though. This is probably more than you have every lost before in such a short amount of time right!
Take care, Kristen
