The first Question is about plateau. I have been here for almost 3 weeks between 250 and 245 up and down.. then how do you all mix your protein powder?. I just cant handle the lumps, and how long it takes to just make the stuff disolve? any suggestions? Thanks Deborah

As far as the plateau goes, I have been stuck in one for the last 2 weeks. I figure it was the holidays. I hope. I mix my protein drink with skim milk instead of water. I use a Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing shaker and it only takes a couple of shakes and all the lumps and clumps are gone. I hope the plateau ends soon. Good luck.

I too hit a plateau for about 2 1/2-3 weeks. It was very frustrating! The scale would just not move. I was getting ver discouraged. Now finally it has started to slowly move again. I have not really tried protein powder. i prefer carnation instant breakfast & beef jerkey for more protein. Hang in there! You will start losing again! Priscilla

For the protein shakes,I had a hard time too. I ended up using a blender to get them lump-less. Finally I just quit protein shakes all together. I started going to fitday.com and realized, that even though I was adding high protein food, it wasn't enough! So I started trying other stuff. I have settled on Isopure protein dirnks from GNC. they are $3.50 for a 20 oz bottle with 40 grams of protein. Which isn't a real good deal, but it is the only thing that works for me. Plus I am saving so much by not eating out, that I can justify half a bottle a day. I still eat high protien foods, I just round it all out with this drink. I prefer the blue raspeberry and orange flavor. They do have a dry caramel aftertaste, but nothing like the protein powders. Isopure also sells protein powders in the usual flaovors (chocolate, strawberry...) and I have heard good things about them. But haven't tried em yet. Good luck to you! Kristen

I spent 4 weeks on a plateau. Finally, I upper my water to about 100+oz a day and now I'm losing 1-2 lbs a day again. I'm down 44 lbs as of this morning! Oh and mix the protein in the blender. 11/11/03 294/250/???
