Hi, I had surgery on 11/18. I am so far down 35 pounds but havent lost anything this past week..Im thinking partly because I slacked off on my protein water and excercise...but I started back yesterday and so far doing good. I would LOVE to talk to other people who had the surgery on the same day as me. I am from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and had surgery with dr Drake Bellanger at the Vista SUrgical center. Thanks Crystal http://CrystalsWLSJourney.homestead.com/index.html

I v'e come to a plateau also. From what iv'e heard it's normal and that it's not really a plateau it's just the bodies way of adjusting. I want to congraulate you on your weighloss great job. Ive only lost 17 lbs at 3 weeks out and 10 prior making it a 27 lbs loss only so you guys have me beat. Ive also slacked off on the liquid part of the diet and went to the soft diet part a week or so ahead of time which I think may be my problem. I went to see my Dr for my 3 week check up yesterday and he says that im doing great but i have to admit this what we call plateau is depressing. 35 lbs weightloss is great keep up the good work and welcome to the Michigan site.

WOW Crystal that is an awesome weight loss. Had my surgery on the 18th and I've only lost 22 pounds. I had gained 9 pounds when I came home from surgery, I was having problems with my urine output. I'm finding it hard to get in the required water and protein and food. I'm on a soft diet and my surgeon requires no drinking 1/2 hour before and 1 hour after a meal, then I have to eat over a 45 minute period, so it seems like forever! At any rate, not too terribly unhappy since I've NEVER lost 22 pounds in 3 weeks!!! I had my surgery with Dr. Leo Murphy of Pacific Bariatrics in San Diego California. Laura
