First time on AMOS

Hello my name is Arlene. I'm a 23 yr female from Pennsylvania. I had my surgery on November 19. Already i am down 20lbs. I can't believe i'm losing that much weight so fast. That is only a week. I just want to know has everyone been losing weight so rapidly or is it just me? My starting weight was 260 and i'm 5'9. Now i'm down to 240. Also for the people who have been losing the weight so rapidly are you seeing a big change, because everyone is telling me that my face has shrunk tremendously? Thanks Arlene

Arlene, Congrats on your surgery and success thus far! You have done great! I have learned that everyone is different in the pace they lose weight. I have lost 30 lbs in 26 days. I consider my weight loss slow, but then again, I have seen people who have lost slower than that. I am sure things like age, and metabolisim have a lot to do with how one loses weight. Anyway, you see it in my face! I could see it after a week. Today I was able to put on an old bra, because the ones I had been wearing are now too big. I have lost the most in my chest area (not the cup size....yet!). I will be happier when my waist starts catching up. I have lost inches in every place so far. I wish you the best and keep it up!
