Well I have waited a long time for this day to come and now that it is almost here, I am scared to death...

It is very normal to be scared, I just look at all the positives that will come from it. Wishing you lots of luck for a great surgery and a speedy recovery. ~Tiffany

I understand what you are going through. I wanted the surgery so bad but when the date came closer and closer, it became more scary. What I was afraid of was the lap-band wasn't going to work and I wouldn't lose weight. The surgery itself wasn't anything, I can't remember anything. Afterwards your abdomen is painful but overpowering. Just walk, walk, walk and walk as much as you can, get those gases flowing. Good luck, you will be fine. It has been almost 3 weeks and I have lost 18lbs and I am not starving. Stomach rumbles though, sounds like a thunder storm!! Let us know.

I was right there with you. I cried on and off the days prior to surgery, and especially the morning of. They offered me so wonderful drugs before I went into surgery...and everything was a blur after that! Anyway, we will be praying for you. Please post as soon as you get home and let us know how you are doing! God Bless! Eileen
