I'm home!! 1wk post-op

Hi everyone. I am home and feeling very good today!! I am now 1 week post-op!!(I came home Monday17th but wasn't ready for this) It's all going fairly well. It definetely has it's rough moments, but I know I made the right decision when I decided to have surgery. How are you others who had surgery on or around my date??

Ronda, Welcome to the losing side! I am very happy for you. You are right to say it has it's rough moments, however, it does get easier. I am not quite 3 weeks post op, and the last week had been the best so far. Please know you are at the right place for support ! Eileen

Ronda, So glad that you are home and feeling good! I had my surgery on the 13th so I am only one day ahead of you. I know what you mean about not ready for the computer thing. I am doing ok, I'm having a hard time getting all of my liquids down, but I'm trying. ~Tiffany

I am also home today(11-22)from having my surgery Tues 11-19)Couldn't stand it at the hospital. But i am having alot of trouble with getting the fluids down and i DON"T want to puke. It feels like gas bubbles all through my belly. I'm so confused. I'm so sad and in so much pain and not sure where to go from here. Drinking water is impossible. IT keeps backing up, but yet i can eat sf jello and sf popiciles????? Anyone got advice, believe me i'm all ears. I go Tuesday to get the staples removed. gentle hugs, Jennifer

Ronda!!! I am so glad to hear that you are well!! I am 90% healed!! I feel great and I have lost 28 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was wondering how long they would keep you. I think that if they hasn't kept me for 6 days, I would have gotten better sooner. I hate being in the hospital. I get my staples out tomorrow, kinda scared about that. Hi everyone. This is my first time posting here on this message board normally im on Michigan's message board. Im 6 days post-op and am starving. I 'am craving some solid food really bad.. Anyone else feel this way. I came through surgery with no problems, minimal pain, walking around here up and down stairs, washings dishes just out of boardum. But terribly hungry has anyone heard of anyone being like this and what the response of others of what to do to curb the appetite. This carnation instant breakfast, sf popcicles,sf jellow,broth is not filling.
