Vanity of Vanities...Highlight Hair?

Hello all! I am due to have RNY on the 18 of November, and my question is, can I highlight my hair 4 days before surgery? I want to cover up all the stress gray! Any remarks? Thank you.

You aren't vain I thought the same thing a couple weeks back. Well, many differing opinions on the boards so I called my surgeon's office and they said coloring it would cause no problems to me. I went to the hair dresser and she said I was still 3 weeks out and it would probably be okay. She said the biggest problem is perms and surgery/anesthesia. But she did say that my hair probably would get messed up to a certain degree, or at least a portion of my hair whether I color it or not. After hearing all of that I decided to cover up my highlights go back to my original color. Only time will tell! Good luck in whatever you choose! I'm having my surgery on Monday and I'm coloring my hair today. We're not vain. We're just doing what we have been doing for years. I've been coloring for over 15 years. Most of my friends don't know my natural color.

I am doing the same thing on Tuesday!! I figured it would be better to do it now before all the anesthesia and it will make me feel better! Glad to know I am not the only one!!

Isn't it funny, I just colored my hair last weekend!!! I didn't even think twice about it!!
