Gross Question

I hate to be gross, so if you don't like questions that are like this stop reading now. Anyway, all you post ops, is your urine yellow? Mine had a "greenish" tint to it. Is it because I am not getting enough water or is there something wrong with me? Also, are you all having "normal" bowel movements yet? Again, I am sorry for being "gross". I think my mother would totally yell at me if she knew I typed this on a message board. Thanks again everyone for the help!

I don't think it's gross to talk about this stuff, but nice to alert people to the nature of the message. This stuff doesn't bother me one bit, but I know my sister would not be able to deal with it! We are all going thru these weird changes with our body and we have questions! First off, my urine was VERY concentrated and odorous at first, til I got in more fluids. That may be your problem. I would always say call your dr and ask about it though. I don't know about greenish urine...so DO call! They will either tell you that is normal or to come in and they can check your urine. I started having 'bowel movements' ---liquid stool, a few days after surgery. I have had one movement every day since surgery... though I don't know HOW! Today it seemed more formed than before...so maybe I am going thru a transition from loose to formed YIPPEE! lol Take care, Kristen

OK, leave it to YOU two to start this discussion!!! lol BUT, now that u have (ahem).... I, too, was concerned about my urine at first. But, each day it get better (clearer) because I'm getting more fluid in. Every chance I get, I fill a cup with ice-water and sip, sip, sip all day. Sometimes have to replace the ice, but I live it really cold. It's hard to stop myself from reaching for the glass the 30 min/after, but I do it (as I look in envy at my hubby who is just CHUGGING the cold ice tea down). lol The day after I started pureed foods, I started having a regular bowel movement. It was quite a proud moment. Even called to my husband, "Hey, guess what? ALL the pipes are working!" I know, I know....private stuff, but, hey, we're all in this together, so why not talk about it? It was actually quite a relief to me, to be quite honest. Everything is working A-OK. So... like you guys said, gotta question? Just post! SOmeone's bound to answer. And hopefully it won't be Eileen's mom.
