Getting a cold, surgeryFri. HELP?

I think I'm getting a cold. No wait I know I'm getting a cold!!! My surgery is Friday!!! I've already been canceled once and can't go through that again!! Does anyone know what the Dr. will do if I show up for surgery with a cold???? HELP!!! Advice anyone??

Hi Ronda, Not sure if this is what you are wanting hear, but I just came from my pre admission testing and I just got over a cold last weekend, my surgery isn't until Nov 24th, but they made sure to tell me if I get a cold or get sick from now till then to call the surgeon immediately. Reason being is they wont do surgery if you have a cold for fear of pnemonia or respiratory issues with the anesthesia... Hopefully you are feeling better tho ~ Best wishes ~ Jessica
