no appetite

i haave been h oje for 4 hours and do not have any appetite........i drrink water,eatt crrsuhed ice, deluted aapple juice and almost gag on shaakess and jello.........is that ikaay for a daay or tow......email mee,plesse aat judydunndealhotmail.com i haave gone upstairs for a few moments while my husbbaandd rakes leaves..and i will ahve him check message later..............

HI! I had my surgury on the 30th and came home on the 3rd. I did not eat very much on the 3rd and had a really bad day on the 4th. NO APPETITE AT ALL! I WAS VERY NAUSEATED. I had to go the bathroom at least least twice an hour and it was liquid coming out. This lastest until 10 pm that night. I called the DR. in the AM and he perscribed some (rig-lynn). I crushed it up and took it with one bite of yoguart. THEY ASSURED ME THAT LOSS OF APPETITE, NAUSEUM, DRY HEAVES, DIREHHA, COLD SWEATS OR ANY COMBO OF THEM FOR A DAY OR SO IS PERFECTLY NORMAL. Just keep drinking water or eating ice chips. When I thought about it I finally decided that my body has just gone thru a trauma and is just getting reestablished and taking a crash course on how to adjust to the new surroundings. Give it a little time and try not to worry. Also don't forget to take your temp for the next three days and know that what your body is doing is perfectly normal. It will be better very very soon!!!!

Judy, I am 4 months post-op and do not have an appetite!! I feel that as a blessing!! I no longer feel like I am starving every waking hour, an I do not wake up at night looking for something to eat! Down 86 lbs and ever so grateful. Hope you do well!
