I had my surgery on Thursday about 8:30am and came home on Saturday about 2 pm. Everything was uneventful. I am doing ok so far, I still have a hard time with what food (liquids) sit good with me. I have been doing broth and water, and juice and jello (sugar-free). No n/v though, that's a plus. I weighed myself this morning, just for fun, and I have lost 8 pounds. I think that is pretty great considering I would have gained that over the next up coming holidays. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers, you are all still in mine. AND the babies are doing great too. I got 2 crawling now!! OH BOY!

Welcome home! Glad to see you are safe and sound! I am pretty much doing the water, broth, and sugar free jello diet. I am afraid to try other things right now. I figure I will do this for a week and then move on to "heavier" liquids. Anyway, congrats on the surgery...and congrats on those babies! You go girl!!

Welcome home! I'm glad that everything went so well with your surgery! I came home on Thursday & I am on a clear liquid diet until this Thursday (13th). I am getting very bored with the clear liquids as there are not very many to have. I am really looking forward to moving onto soft creamy foods! I too was curious to weigh mself, I have lost 12 pounds! Which I think is just amazing! Good luck with your recovery, may it be swift for you! God Bless

Congratulations on your uneventful surgery. I had an open RNY on the 5th of November and came home on Saturday too! I am already eating light yogurt and the powdered soy protein slim fast (no sugar added). I have had a problem with constipation but finally "MOM" Milk of Magnesia took care of it so I'm feeling a little better now. I haven't felt like getting on the scale yet because I have been so bloated...but maybe tomorrow. Congratulations and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Carolyn S
