I am on the losing side
Hey everyone, I am still in the hopsital, I should be going home tomorrow, my loving husband brought his computer and I am feeling pretty good, so I thought I would post.
Surgery was great. I was pretty miserable Tuesday, Wednesday and yesterday. Today I have felt the best so far. I passed my leak test today and just had sf jello (praying it was sugar free). Still have on appetie, if you can belive that. If I can make it thus far, anyone can. I will post tomorrow when I get home from the hospital.
God Bless everyone!!
I did have to go back and thank everyone for their support and love as I went on this journey. I was a basket case before hand and up until the rolled me away. I have to thank Dayna Cass and Judy Burgess for coming to visit me yesterday and brining me flowers and a bunch of "goodies". They both had their surgery on September 9 and have both lost over 40 lbs in 8 weeks. Just fantastic for them!!
I am on pain meds, but I had open and also I take them because my back is hurting from this hospital bed and the chairs and the pain ends up making it harder on my incision. I am on Roxicet which is a liquid pain medicine...I like it so much better than the moprhine.
Anyway, if I can do this anyone can. I am still taking baby steps, but I am on myway!!
Eileen, you are just too cool! Posting from the hospital like that...
I'm also three days post-op and feeling good!
Will stop back later with more details when I have more energy. Otherwise, feeling good after my first shower home and in my pj's and slippers. Have noted a feeling of 'restlessness' whenever I attempt to do something (read, watch t.v., etc.) but I guess that's normal after all the morphine in the hospital. We filled the prescription for the Tylenol w/codine before we left the hosptial but found, except for a slight headache this morning, that I really don't have any need for it. Yea!
I can proudly say, "I'm a loser now...and YOU can, too!"
See you all later!!!
