Heather, you might try ice at the back of your neck and/or ice at the temple points/forehead. My husband use to get migraines and that seemed to really help. If it doesn't, warm compresses at the same points may help. Hope you feel better. Mary

Hi Heather... Did you happen to wean yourself off caffeine before your surgery?? I was told by my surgeon to start 7 days prior because a withdraw headache from lack of caffiene is not a good experience.. in fact a friend who went through it said morphine couldn't even touch it.... Sounds like this could be what you are experiencing... sorry tho, I'm not sure what you can do to help besides the suggestions in the previous post.... take care ~ Jessica

Any luck with the headaches, hon? I had a little bit of one two mornings ago (used the Tylenol w/codeine) and that helped. Nothing since. I, too, was a heavy coffee drinker and weaned myself off the two days prior. It was hard, but worth it. The same with real, unrefined sugar. I was the one who unscrewed the cap and 'tipped' the sugar canister to get more sugar in their cup. I graduated to TWO Equal packets for each cup over the last couple of months...so I can attest, it does work. Especially since I grabbed the wrong mug one day and got my hubby's coffee...real sugar and milk...ugh!Now I'm using Splenda (first time today in a banana puree) and it's great. Could I recommend the Celestial Seasonings naturally caffeine-free flavored herb teas...they're great! And trust me, I was a HEAVY coffee drinker! They come in a sampler box (cranberry apple zinger, tangerine orange zinger, country peach passion, etc). Hope you feel better, Heather! -Karen

I have had headaches now for the first 3 nights. But only at bedtime....not real sure but I do think the caffeine has a lot to do with it. I didn't drink cokes, but I did drink tea. I'm like you, I hope they go away soon too. Good luck, Kathryn
