It's another no-go

Hi everybody! I'm feeling quite down because my surgery was delayed again. It seems that I was successful in lowering my potassium, but now they're not happy with my BUN and creatinine levels! (If I were in "perfect" health, I wouldn't need this operation to begin with. ) Now I have to make still another appointment with still another doctor to get that straightened out. I've only been going through this since February of this year. If things keep getting delayed, I'm afraid I'll have to start all over with the battery of tests again. I'm just about ready to throw in the towel and concede defeat. I just feel so tired and drained. I can't even begin to fathom when I might possibly be scheduled again. My students and the sub aren't sure if they're coming or going (neither am I!) Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers; I truly need all the divine intervention I can get. Best of luck to any of you who are still pre-op. I hope all goes smoothly for you. Barb Delnero

What a shame. I am so sorry. Just hang in there a little longer and it will happen. I know you must be very disapointed. Joanne McNulty

Barbara, I understand how hard this is for you. Focus on the fact that they are doing all the tests to be sure it will be safe for you during surgery. I, too, had to go thru lots of extra tests (so stressful at times) but the results have made me know I should be fine with the surgery. Adding you to my prayers that these will be the last of the tests and that you will have a confirmed date soon. Mary
