Happy Halloween everyone, I really getting scared
I have about 5 more days to go before I have surgery and I'm feeling scared but excited, I Just dont really knw what to expect, I keep thinking I'm going to be so sick, Will I always throw up, will the people around me get nervous with me, Will I be able to drink 64oz. of water daily, will I lose my hair, will I have lots of extra skin will I not lose weight will I lose to much weight, Oh my gosh I'm freaking out, I cant believe this is happening all to fast. Any info will greatly be appreciated.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Never underestimate the healing powers of a bubble bath. I know they don't cure anything, but they can help with the nerves. I have 'em too.
It's a huge step we're taking... You have the right to be scared and nervous.
Hang in there and we'll all get through it.

Hi Terry, Turn all your "Will I" to "I Will" taking them from a negative to a positive statement. I understand being nervous, but focus on the positives. So here are some ideas: I will be healthier than ever after having weight loss surgery. I will be able to move easier and quicker after I have the surgery. I will follow my surgeons directions so that I will heal quickly. I will allow my body time to heal. I will avoid sugar. I will avoid high carb foods. I will be able to go into a regular dept store and buy the cutest clothes, clothes I haven't been able to wear in years. I will be able to ride on a plane and not worry about a seat belt extender. I will be able to comfortably sit in a booth at a restaurant. I will be able to cross my legs. I will be so much happier at a healthy weight. I will be able to drink all the water each day by doing it a sip at a time. I will not lose all my hair and will remember that whatever hair I do lose will grow right back in within a couple of months. I will not throw up because I am going to eat slowly, chew thoroughly, and not overeat (if nausea is a problem, I will call my surgeon so he can get me thru this temporary problem. ... the list goes on and on. Hope this helps. Mary (who's 12 days away from surgery)
