Just a little irritated....insurance

Well I just got notice that my insurance did not pay for my initial visit with my surgeon. They said my plan does not cover obesity. I wonder if this means they will not be covering my surgery. It's so frustrating. When I called the insurance about they said that if and when the surgery gets approved then they will reevaluate any of these charges. Just nice to know that I may be stuck with a $300.00 bill that I definitely can't afford. My surgery is scheduled for November 12, and I still have no clue whether its going to be approved. The insurance company requested more information including a psych eval and chart notes for the last 3 years from my physician. That's really easy to get.... My insurance did not pay for my initial visit either... I had to pay for it out of pocket. Make sure that the diagnosis code on your paperwork is for MORBID OBESITY, not just Obesity.
