13 more days to go....WOO HOO
My surgery is on the 18th and I'm getting excited, but not too nervous YET. I have been getting stuff in order, I'm making pajamas and a robe so that will keep me busy, and I HAVE to deep clean my room, but I've gotten all the morbid stuff out of the way. I have a Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care assigned, my burial insurance is ready, my daughter knows how to get my life insurance from work, we have family plots, and most importantly I have an appointment on 11/15 with my parish priest to have my last confession and receive the annointing of the sick. So I am good to go if things turn ugly. HOWEVER, I do believe the Lord is guiding me to this surgery and it will be a success! I just want to have all that ugly stuff out of the way so my family won't have to deal with it.
As for eating, well, I am not as lucky as you, I want to eat CONSTANTLY!! Fortunately, I have been able to hold myself way back and stay on track. Hmmm, but I'm gonna miss the sweet potatoes on Thanksgiving, so maybe just maybe I'll have some of those next week!
Renee, I'm doing pretty good. Finalize all the hospital stuff (pre-op) yesterday and got the final OK. My surgery is the 12th. The biggest relief was reaching the weight loss goal my surgeon set. I hit it right on the nose yesterday (46 lbs off). Now my concern is my husband has a horrible cold. I am loading up with vitamins so I don't get it too. Wishing you the best. Mary
