Topic: 1 1/2 years out... what now?
Well, May 8th will mark my 18 month anniversary... as it will the rest of us in May, on this particular message board. What I'd like to know is since my body obviously decided to stop losing weight... now what?
Can you all give me an idea of what a typical days eating consists of for you. Also, how much protein do you eat, how much water do you drink? How much exercise do you do every week?
I started at 305, and I'm stuck around 166-168 lbs. now. My initial goal was 140 lbs., but Bariatric Treatment Center told me my realistic goal is 160 lbs. Well, that's not realistic to me. But maybe my body is telling me otherwise now. I exercise 3-4 days a week and eat a moderately consistent diet.
HELP!

I am having the same problem. I can't seem to lose that last 20 lbs. I have to consider that some of it is the skin so i give myself a few pounds for that but other than that......i can't lose either. I started at 350 and lost 175. I'm happy as heck but I need a tummy tuck badly.
I would love to be a little thinner but considering where i was.....I can't look a gifthorse in the mouth. Be happy that you are not obese anymore.
I know this didn't help but I do feel your pain. I am mad cuz I have a darn "front butt" that no matter how much excercise i do i cannot lose it. Only a tummy tuck will get rid of it and i have no insurance now and cannot afford one. I must live with it but at least i'm not a cow anymore! lol
Topic: 2 weeks out from TT.medal thigh lift and getting stronger every day
I bought my first bikini and I cannot wait to go wear it. I've been faithful to my journal, but my eating is off track. I plan to protein feast the week of passover (April 5, which is my birthday!) I'd like to lose 10 more pounds. I'm now in a 8/10 and my plastic surgeon says I could be in a 6/8 when the swelling goes down. What a year, huh?!!! Thank GOD for WLS!
Topic: Lost only 3lbs in last 3weeks
Hello
Today I'm feeling a little blue in the last three weeks I have only lost 3lbs. I am still walking and I bought a excerise bike this week with a lateral thigh trainer. I hate that my weight is not coming off as fast as others. I would like some suggestion. The summer is fastly aproaching and I would like to look nice. I want to ride the rides at the amusement parks this year. I don't want to be scared that I won't fit in the seat. I also want to go out of town but I'm scared of being chared for two seats. I am still at a weight that they can charge for two seats.

OMG!!!! You have done great with your WLS. I have about 6 lbs to goal and can't seem to quite get there! I think my body and habits have decided to stablize me. I am trying not to stress about it. Good luck with getting to goal-but please do not stress--you are doing great!!

Hello all, I have an updated profile with new pictures. Things are going well with me, please see my profile for an update. Isn't life grand!!!
Topic: getting a revision
I had a large stoma from the very beginning (see profile for story) and I am now finally scheduled for a revision, on Feb 19, 2004. I feel like I am getting a second chance, well, more like a first chance since I never felt like I had the first chance to begin with. I have never felt any fullness, so it has been a long year of self discipline.
I am down to 185, but have been stuck at 185 since last August,,, long long plateau. And before that I was stuck at 195 from March (4 months postop) to August (9 months postop). So, I am a plateua queen, that is for sure...you think your little one or two month plateau stinks, be thankful you have not had to endure my one 5 month plateau and now my current 6 month plateau.
Just wanted to post this, in case anyone else out there is struggling.
this surgery does not work the first time for everyone.

Topic: Just a short update
Hi everyone I haven't posted here in so long. I just wanted to see what was happening with us November babies. Well, I have surpassed my goal. My original goal was to be around 147, I am now at 133 and wearing a size 6 pants from a size 26. Not too bad. Just wish I could take an iron and get rid of all the wrinkled skin. I will probaly be around 120 - 125 after PS, that is if I get up the nerve to do it. I never thought that being 50 would be fun, but I feel like a kid again. This has been the best thing I have ever done for myself. I love seeing the before and after pics of everyone. What changes we have gone through. I am less than half the woman I was before - Yipee!! Best of luck to everyone and I will keep checking in to see how it is going. A WLS friend for LIFE!!
