Hi Maria,
I hate to hear about the problems you're having, and I hope that your doctor is right that you'll soon be feeling better. I have not had the same symptoms as you, but I did have to have my gall bladder removed at the five month post-op point. I found it harder to get over that surgery even though it was lap just like my RNY was. I think that I was just becoming anemic at that time as well, so I was exhausted all the time. I will be praying for your pain to ease! God Bless,
Gerry

Yes! I have been at the same weight for a month now, and for the past few months I've only lost on average 4-5 pounds a month. I wanted so bad to a member of the century club, but I've been at a 97 pound loss for weeks now I have started to walk more, and I am trying to limit what I eat again. Next week whe I have the money I'm going to buy some protein shakes and just do those for a week and see if it boosts my weight loss. You are not alone!

Hello November Brothers and Sisters:
This is my first time posting here. I hope everyone is doing ok. I had my Lap RNY on Nov. 18, 2002. I have lost 90 lbs so far. I can't believe that I'm almost at the century mark. I felt great up until about 4 months ago. I got a hernia on one of my incisions and had to have surgery to have it repaired on June 12th. For some reason, I've had a harder time with this surgery than with the Lap RNY. I am in constant pain especially when I have to get up from sitting down or laying down. It feels like something is ripping inside of me. Has anyone else had this experience? My doctor told me that this happens and should go away, but I don't know if I can take this constant pain. I would appreciate hearing from you. Take care and God Bless. Maria

Linda,
I am so happy to see your post and that others are going through what I am going through. I am trying desperately to stay positive but I get so scared that my window is going to close. I keep toying with the same 3-7 lbs and then just sit at one number for weeks. My only advice is to keep up the good work and wait. good luck...oxox Rebecca

Edna, congrats on your great weight loss result! I am hoping for 100 pounds eventually, but so far I'm only at 78. It must be so exciting to be in the century club! Way to go! God Bless,
Gerry

Topic: RE: 8 months and only at 50% loss :(
Hi Carol, Just a couple of thoughts for you. Have you had your lab work done recently? I was bone tired all the time and found out that I was pretty anemic. I am now taking iron three times a day and feeling much better. I was also freezing to death. Another quick indicator is to pull down your bottom eyelid. If it's pale white, chances are you may be anemic. This could be a serious health issue, so please get checked out. Now that I am feeling better, I am much more motivated to exercise and move around in general. I have probably lost about the same amount of weight as you. I've lost 78 pounds and 68 inches. I feel like I'm a very slow loser, but even so the weight loss overall results are astounding. Don't let yourself get too discouraged, and be sure to follow up on your lab work! Good luck and God Bless,
Gerry
Topic: 8 months and only at 50% loss :(
I am just a little over my 8 month mark and have only lost ~ 50% of my excess weight. I started at 273 pounds at 5'2" and am just now under the 200 pound mark. I have only lost 5 pounds in the past two months. I am so tired all the time that excercise is not much of an option. Am I tired because I am lazy, or lazy because I am tired? I drink a gallon of water a day, and keep my carbs to a minimum. I just want to get to 150 before my window for loss is closed. At this rate I will never make it!! Any words of wisdom??
