Dear Jean, Congratulations on your weight loss! Your husband sounds alittle immature & needs to be more supportive. Maybe he needs to be told no matter how much you lose that he is the only man for you. Men can be so insecure. They are big babies. Ignore his attitute he needs time adjusting to the NEW lady in his life, the thinner you. Good Luck, Laura

Hello fellow November 2002 WLS members. I had surgery November 26 and have lost 80 lbs so far. I started at 266 and am now down to 186, size 14, about 20 lbs from goal. My loss has not been as much as others posted here, but I am happy with it. My loss has been slow, but I have gone from a size 26 jean to a size 14--each time I pull on my jeans, I really do not believe they will fit, then I button them and am amazed! I find that I now love to exerice. I spend time in the gym and play tennis as much as possible. I have been married for 17 years--love my husband, but recently he has shown sings of jealouly, questioning me about my activities. I invite him to join me in my activities but absolutely refuse to sit home like in the past. I think this is because of the weight loss. Has any of you experienced this is your relationships?

Topic: RE: Disruption in line?
Hello Carol, Im not a nurse or anything but i do work in a hospital where the surgery is done and i had mine done on Nov 4,2002. I am in a support group at our hospital and was told in a group meeting that right after surgery if our patients have any dicomfort in thier left shoulder or left side of the chest area that more than likely the do have a leak. im sry to not bring good news but please be careful. if u do have a leak it could be very serios and sometimes deadly. Contact your doc with any problems. Lori in Indiana

Topic: Disruption in line?
I am sorry to post twice in such a short period of time, but it has just been brought to my attention that my slow loss could be related to the "burning" that I have been having in my left shouder, which could be a sign of a line disruption. For the past two months or so I have been having a horid burn in my left shoulder, under the color bone. I didn't associate it with the surgery at first and when I did start to question it I thought maybe it was just heartburn (although there isn't supposed to be acid available is there?) If anyone has any feed back on this please feel free to share. I am seeing the Dr. on the 14th, but if anyone can put me at ease until then I appreciate it!!
