Almost a YEAR Post-op!

Where does the time go! Its sooo hard for me to believe in a few short weeks I'll be a year post-op! Ohhh what a ring to that, eh?! I had my Lap RNY 11/15/02 with Dr. William O'Malley, Rochester, NY...he's da'bomb! LOL! I'm among the living again! I don't know about you, but a year ago I weighed 334 lbs and though I tried to fake that I was happy I really don't thik I was! Today weighing in at 198 lbs, I can honestly, with my head held high say YESSS I'm HAPPY! I have a ways to go...and at times I wish I was further a long in my weight loss...but I've got to say, if i didn't lose another pound, I'm happy! Sooo many things I've been able to do that I haven't been able to do in years! My husband and I just celebrated our 17th anniversary Sweetest Day and this Saturday we're attending the Military Ball...we've never done anything like this...my goodness, have I had fun shopping for jewelry, shoes, a handbag...thankfully I've had a gorgeous gown loaned to me! Had my hair highlighted and thinking about a french braid for the event! Things I woulda never considered a year ago! I love to hear the successes of y'all out there (I just came across this November, 2002 message board!). Hugs and prayers to all! ~Cheryl
