Found out today I'm having surgery Monday instead of Tuesday.  Yay!!

First thought was I get to stop the Opti early.  lol

I'm nervous and excited and a little scared but mostly trying to have positive thoughts about a perfect (complication free) outcome.

Mine was 3 protein shakes a day...I could have Popsicles and jello and broth in between, it has been a struggle, but I have managed to lose 20lbs

Yay!

My surgery is also on the 20th. I am on day 18 of my full liquid diet, and I have lost 20 pounds since starting. My surgery is in Houston,  TX, with Dr. Brad Snyder and thank god my insurance is paying.  Good luck to you!!

I'm having mine in Puerto Vallarta with Dr. Joya as my insurance wouldn't pay.  Day 10 on pre-op diet.  I've lost 13.5 lbs so far on that.  From 264 to 250.5, (can't wait to be on the side closer to 200 than 300 before I go in).  I was nervous, very nervous, I'm going by myself as my daughter has school and my hb needs to work.  Then on Friday night I got rear ended by a Ford Explorer hard, and for some reason, after walking away from that, I'm not scared anymore.  It's like I looked fear in the face.  LOL!  I'm sore though.

Good luck everyone.

Mine is a modified fast. Protein shake for breakfast, protein shake for lunch and a low fat, low carb meal for dinner - making sure to eat my protein first. It's just my second day, but it' not bad. The shakes keep me full and I am making sure to get my 64ounces of fluid in, too. I can have one piece of fruit per day and as much fresh, non-starchy vegetables as  I want.
