Surgery date October 23

Starting on the optifast today to prepare for surgery on the 23rd.  Getting a little nervous but I know I'm doing the right thing.  Excited for the next positive step in my life.

I am on the 10 day liquid diet and I literally am dying. This is terrible and I have found myself cheating by eating 1 hard boiled egg. It's just not natural to not eat. I hope I'm not ruining it for myself. 

Good luck to you  and hope the liquid diet is going  better for you.  My diet also has Optifast bars and a little bit of certain vegetables so that makes it more tolerable.  I'm just getting bored with it.  Best wishes.

My surgery is also the 23rd and i also am getting nervous i am having the sleeve and a revision on my hiatal hernia and mine has to be open so i am very scared but putting it in gods hands i feel i will do great. just a longer healing with it being open.

i am starting my diet today of liquids .

Our surgery date is getting closer! I am exhausted of this 10 day liquid diet. Everything I have been eating literally makes me gag so I have been on virtually nothing bu****er. I have little to no energy and so much to do before surgery so when I come back, everything is prepared...

Either way - I will push through it. I haven't gotten any calls from the surgeons nurses and what not like they said I would yet. I am wondering if these calls wont come in until tomorrow? 

I have lost 13 lbs on the 10 day liquid diet. Pretty exciting but loosing it this way isn't very healthy lol

I am very nervous - I have never had surgery before so my family doctor called me in some ativan to take the night before and the day of surgery. I am a bit of a mess lol

My surgery was October 24, and I find myself cheating slightly on the liquid diet, I have eaten a couple small bites of rice and a bit of mashed up peas.  Not that these things are bad or over the top, I am just trying to do the best I can, but I find myself sneaking.
