I received a call from my doctors office this morning, my insurance now approves the sleeve and if I want to have this I can instead of bypass....decisions decisions....I had to call them back, I didnt know what to do...talked it over with my husband and I am going to have the sleeve in the morning instead of the bypass....so excited by yet nervous....

I had my surgery on 10/15/12.  So good so far.  I still a little nervous on what's ahead but I am up for the challenge.

 Thanks everyone for the support. Stayed 2 nights at the hospital. They wouldn't let me leave until I could drink 30 ounces. Never thought that would be so difficult. Had sugery on Friday, discharged on Sunday. On Wednesday, felt much better and was able to drink about 120 ounces that day. On the puree phase right now. Willpower is going great in not eating too much or the wrong foods. I seemed to have developed an addiction for watching the cooking channel and cooking all types of food mor my family, even though I dont even sample it. Got bold and took a couple of bites of a cuban sandwich, which I won't be doing again any time soon :(
