Surgery 10/15/12 - HW-263lbs GW-150lbs CW- 170.8
We are sleeve sisters :). I'm doing really well. Good restriction, no nausea and no problem with tolerating any foods on my list. I'm very happy with my progress so far and I'm grateful that I have not been craving sweets. Just sticking with my dense protein and the odd bite of cooked veggies. How about you?

Hi Everyone! I knew to this site - had my surgery 10/30/12 - Hurricane Sandy! My starting weight was 274 pounds and I was SO surprised @ my 2 week follow up to be down 25 pounds. I've lost a total of 43.5 pounds as of Monday 1/7 (weighed in @ 230.5). is this normal? I am trying to do everything the drs tell me too but honestly I feel like I'm on my own in a lot of ways regarding how much I should be eating at this point. I know to push protein & get enough water, that kind of stuff. but I'm not really to the point of eating "meals" yet because by the time I eat the protein (salmon, chicken, imitation crab meat, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese) I have no room for fruits or vegatables so I dont eat much of those at all. Any advise?
No need to worry about balancing your meals with fruit and veggies yet. I understand that it can take up to 6 months to get much beyond making your protein goals :). One way to get a few bites is to build them in as a snack - even with a teeny amount of protein.
