Topic: RE: harder than i thought...so glad its over
I had mine a week ago tomorrow and it was rougher than I thought too, Anna. Years ago I had my gall bladder removed laproscopically, went home the next day and never took pain meds. I really thought this was gonna be like that. I think I didn't factor in my age and the fact that they're messing with an organ you use every single day. I also wasn't near as fit.
Regardless...
Here's to having it behind us and moving forward as happier, healtheir, smaller selves!

Topic: RE: OCT 28th RNY
I'll pray for you even if you don't pray for me but if you would that would be great. I'm having my RNY surgery tomorrow in NYC and I'm really nervous too. I think that I'll fair well thru the surgery but there is always the unknown and I don't want to leave my son. It's going to be a big change in lifestyle but then I look at all the health benefits that will come along with it in addition to looking great and I have my answer. Good luck to you and I just said my prayer.
Topic: Hello...RNY was 10/05/10
Hello everyone! I just found this message board and wanted to introduce myself! I had RNY on 10/05 with no problem. As of today I have lost 28 pounds. Are you all still very tired? I want to excersize but am so so tired lately that I cant do much with even my house work. Also what are you all eating? I would love to hear new ideas. Hope everyone is great and thanks!
Topic: RE: Oct 27th surgery date is going to bring new hope and a future into my life!
I hope that all went well for you, and that you have a great recovery. I wish and pray for you, to lose the weight that you wish to lose.

Christi, I wish you the very best of luck for your surgery tomorrow. I will pray for you, tonight and tomorrow. I know that you will be okay, and just know that there are a lot of people out here, praying for you. I wish you well, and a fast recovery.
Topic: RE: 9 days out and missing food
I too am like a hound dog. I try to mentally monitor it out in public so I don't sniff other people's food! I think it is hilarious! The family is used to it. It has become a game where I guess what ingredients their food has in it. Oh well, gotta laugh about it!
I did not have any problems until I hit the soft food stage. I guess I am trying to eat too many things too quickly as all of a sudden I started vomitting my food back. So now I am back on my favorite puree's and trying to get the pouch to chill out. I am hoping by tomorrow I will be able to start eating again. I can't tell if it is too much, too fast, too much variation, or what started the problem but I guess it is a lesson that everyone learns with our new pouches. It decides.
hehehe
I know I learned my lesson. Slow changes.

I'm back at work today and feeling better. Still hurt in the port area and where my scars are, but worth it. Hope you're doing well and we'll talk soon!!
