I haven't started getting the vitamins or protein drinks or anything yet.  I haven't even met my Surgeon yet.  He taught a seminar I went to last October, but haven't officially met him.  I have pre-op on 10/14 with him.  The only thing I have gotten so far was vitamin D.  They sent me a letter because I am vitamin d defficient. 

My Mom had lap band last week and it was pretty rough in the beginning.  The pain level was high for a couple of days and now she's struggling with the 3 week liquid diet.  She can't wait to be on soft foods.  I think it was good to SEE up close and personal what a person goes through after weight loss surgery. 

I'm still excited though.  I can't wait to start my "new life".  I can't wait to hear how everyone else does as well!  I started a blog on blogspot.com to track Mom's weight loss, my weight loss, and my aunt is having RNY at the end of this month too. 

What have all of the "October folks" started to get or started doing to prepare so far?

AWESOME!  It seems so far away, but so much to do before it gets here.  Keep me posted!!
