I finally got my date and it's Oct. 15th.  I am getting really nervous now and I don't look forward to the 8 days fasting.  My family says they want to go on vacation while I'm on it lol.  I have all my drinks, vitamins and everything else all ready too go.  Still trying to calm my little one down, she is really scared about me having to go to the hospital.  Can't wait to start losing and enjoy life again....sooooo excited

Hi everyone!! I've been reading these boards for a long time but have never posted! I finally got a date after starting my journey two years ago. I was denied in June and appealed. I was so sure I would be denied again but  thankfully they didn't. My surgeons office called September 17th to tell me that I was approved and scheduled me for surgery October 20th!! I have my preop this Friday. After working so long to get approved it hardly feels real. I'm so excited but at the same time I'm so nervous. I'm having Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass.

Hi Norma~We'll be passing the baton in Mexicali.  My VSG is scheduled with Dr. Aceves on 10/27, so I'll be flying home on the 30th!  You must be getting really excited now that it's less than a month!!!  Wishing you well.......I'll keep the hallways shined up for ya (from walking!)
