Topic: Got *The Date* ... and anxious!! (Oct 20)
I've been trying for the past year to get this ... had some minor health issues to clear up first .. had to do 6 months of medical surpervision, etc.
So I was really surprised when the doc's office called just a few days ago and said POOF, it's all set, here's your date.
I change my mind from one minute to the next, BUT in the end, I know I'll be there with all the positive energy I can muster.
I just wish that it all wasn't so scary (had a very bad hospital experience in 2004, neglected & abused).

I am so glad to hear that having a terrible headache is common with the pre surgery liquid diet. My head is pounding and it won't go away. Doing better then I thought with the liquid diet but the headache is torture. Got 7 more days to go and I hope the headache doesnt stay with me the whole time. Good Luck everyone!

Me too. my surgery is the 15th. Everybody tells me this is the hardest part. good luck with u!

I dont have to do a liquid diet pre-op, but I have to do a Low Carb, High Protien, and I had a really bad headace for the first 3 or 4 days. I think its because I stopped drinking coke. I was a really big coke drinker, and now none. It has gotten better, I havent had a headace for the last few days. I hope it clears up soon! && Good luck with everything!

I have a killer headache right now....i just started my liquid diet today!!!! It is going off sugar. I have had them before. Nasty...and i don't want to take advil because i don't want to upset my stomach getting closer to surgery. good luck

I hope everything went well with your surgery. How are things going now. I'm going to have lap band surgery on 10/8/09. I'm concerned about how I'm going to get through the eating/not eating stage but I keep reminding myself it is going to be for the better. I will change my eating habits so that my surgery will not be in vain. I keep telling myself this and I will see how far this will take me.

I was getting the worse headaches. I quit smoking, gave up coffee and felt hungry all the time. I ask the surgeons office if i could have more food then listed on the 2 week pre surgery diet, and to my surprise she said i could have more fruits and veggies and 3.
more oz of meat!
That realy helped me. the Headaches went away after 2 days
