ok i had my surgery. Everything went fine until 4 days out. I started feeling very weak, not eating, and i was so tired.  Went to the doctor the following Wednesday and guess what it was. My blood pressure was down to 75/58!  at dismisal from the out patient place they told me to continue all my meds from before surgery and yes my blood pressure meds was one of them.  He pulled me off my blood pressure meds right then and there. So people make sure you can continue with blood pressure meds after the surgery.
Good luck everyone!
This is the best think i could have done for myself, no regrets.

Hey Joenetta. I'm having mine tomorrow morning too.  Well, if I can ever get to sleep...  lol  The last 2 days my mind has been really messin with me.  Then today when they called and game me my time, I can't even explain it.  I almost cried; not happy cry.  Scared cry.  Then the doubts staarted flowin.  Then I had to say wait.  I've been working on this since February!  I'm not going back now.  Ask a few people to keep me in their prayers, prayed myself, and am reading some scripture books.  Hope this helps.  Let me know how everything went.

I had surgery on the 22nd too.  I got home on Saturday.  I had a bout with either dehydration or blood pressure meds today.  Had to sip H20 for about an hour, but other than that, I'm doing well.  Glad to here that everyone else is doing well.  There was a thread on the main board about refried beans and cheese and I'm getting very, very excited to try it.

Patsy,

I was so sorry to hear of the WLS not happening and yet a different surgery was performed.  You have been very heavy on my mind.

I pray that your lab results return with good news for you.  Personally I had a hernia repaired 12 yrs. ago which was 4 mos after a hysterectomy.  The pain I endured for those 4 mos, the pain medication I had to take I would not wish on my worst enemy.  Try and keep you head up and think about the positive.  I believe things happen for a reason.  Although you are down at the moment I am glad this was discovered now to prevent any future problems.

Call me if you want to talk.

Annette

Yes that is normal. But what happens if you don't go? I went on the 21st. and they didn't do my rny. had a big hernia that they had to repair and had some spots on my liver and they had to take a biopsy of my liver. i was devastated when i woke up. if i could i would go back into surgery tomorrow. It will be ok

I'm sorry to hear that but I agree, better that the surgeon is in full control of the outcome. Your time will come, don't worry! For whatever reason, it wasn't supposed to be that day but your day is coming.

Hugs!

You will be FINE. I had the same fears about not making it and everything went very smoothly. Have faith in yourself, your surgeon, and whatever higher power you believe in. You'll be back here posting in no time how happy you are to be home.

Best wishes!

Are we all home yet? I hope everyone's surgery went smoothly and you're all recovering nicely. I'm doing pretty well. I'm 4 days out. Definitely starting to wish for something more satisfying than liquids but I know I just have to get through the next 10 days and I'll be enjoying some pureed food (which will probably taste like heaven).

Take care, everyone!
