they you guys for replying with some encouraging words and your own frustrating moments!  I'm just glad to have someone else there with me that can understand!  I try to tell myself that I'm so glad to have lost that much in the beginning and finally I've broke through and I've lost some now!  WooHoo!  SO my body has finally caught up with what was going on and is letting me loose again!  I'm down 4 more lbs now.  I'm sooo close to breaking the 200!!  I was at 201 this morning!!  MAN I'm so close I can't wait to break that and NEVER see that number again!

Right there with you - been stalled for 2 weeks. The docs told me that this was very normal.  Still frustrating!!!!!

Thanks Jeanne! I found another site that had message boards and they all said the same thing...pulled muscle.  That's what I had been thinking.  I rested last night and this morning it feels better.  I'm supposed to see the Dr. at 1pm, but the pain is almost gone now.  Thank you for replying.

I have also!  See my post a few rows down.  It comes and goes, but is worse if I have been sitting for some time.  i thought it was gas, but it lasted too long.  I did call the Dr and he said I probably pulled a muscle getting up or something.  I jsut rested really well the next day and it is better now.

Hope that helps,
Jeanne

Topic: different kind of pain
I'm having a sharp stabbing pain in my stomach area on the left side.  I think it's gas, but it feels like a "stitch" in my side...like I ran to much.  If it doesn't go away soon, I'll call the dr., but did anyone else experience this? I'm one week out of surgery. Thanks

Cheese - like you would not believe.  I am on full liquids now and had mashed potatoes for dinner, I put cheese in it and it felt almost sinful.  I love cheese.  My CNA called today and I asked about the swelling.  She said it will go down daily.  But to keep walking, it helps, she says.

I need to walk more definately.  I am going to start tomorrow.

Hugs,
Jeanne

Acutally Jeanne, I am wondering about the swelling also. My tummy still has swollen areas all around where the trocars were inserted and it is very bruised and quite sore. I can see the fluid in the tissue tho. I am craving meat! How about you? I want ham and cheese badly!

Welcome!  And it is great to have you here.  I had RNY on 10/27.  Feeling pretty good so far.  I am a little concerned about swelling, do you know when it goes down?

Try not to stress, we will all hit plateaus.  Just think, you have lost 2 lbs a day!!  That is amazing!  You can do it, just keep up all the good work and you will get past this point.

Tips
Drink more water
Excersize an extra day if you can
Focus on those proteins.

Good luck and know that all of us are pulling for you!
