Hello. I had my lapband on October 15th in Mexico. All went very well. A few days after I got home I noticed a large lump (the size of my cupped palm) in the upped left quadrant of my abdomen. I called the surgeon and they feel it may be a seroma, a fluid filled area.
I have a Dr. who will be doing my fills. He examined me 7 days post-op, and also feels its a seroma. Both Drs. say that the fluid will reabsorb back into the body, but it will take time.
I noticed last night upon pressing on this area that the entire cupped palm size area is quite hard underneath. This hardness is not at the port area, but up and to the left of the port incision. Has anyone else ever had something like this? The large area of hardness underneath has me worried. When I look at my abdomen, this bulged area is very visible.
Any input or thoughts on this?
