Okay so I lost 25lbs in the first 2 1/2 weeks and then it's been NOTHING!!!  UGGGHHH!!!  I called the dr and they said not to worry yet but OH how frustrating this is!  I feel like I'm on an old diet that stops working except that I've had MAJOR surgery and I'm stuck!!  Please tell me I'm not the ONLY one with this PROBLEM!!!

If it will make you feel even a little bit better I'm exactly two weeks out and have lost 8 pounds.  25 is a fabulous loss.  The stall will end.

Try not to stress, we will all hit plateaus.  Just think, you have lost 2 lbs a day!!  That is amazing!  You can do it, just keep up all the good work and you will get past this point.

Tips
Drink more water
Excersize an extra day if you can
Focus on those proteins.

Good luck and know that all of us are pulling for you!

Right there with you - been stalled for 2 weeks. The docs told me that this was very normal.  Still frustrating!!!!!

they you guys for replying with some encouraging words and your own frustrating moments!  I'm just glad to have someone else there with me that can understand!  I try to tell myself that I'm so glad to have lost that much in the beginning and finally I've broke through and I've lost some now!  WooHoo!  SO my body has finally caught up with what was going on and is letting me loose again!  I'm down 4 more lbs now.  I'm sooo close to breaking the 200!!  I was at 201 this morning!!  MAN I'm so close I can't wait to break that and NEVER see that number again!

I understand your frustration, I'm at the point were my weight loss stalled. I lost 17 lbs in the first 2 weeks, but have only lost 2 additional pounds in the last 2 weeks. I "know" this is part of the process, but it's still a hard pill to swallow. I have to keep telling myself that I didn't gain this weight overnight and I'm surely not going to lose it overnight. I can definitely see a change in my body so maybe I'm losing inches. I'm getting my fluids and proteins and exercising like I should, I just need to be patient and hide the darn scale!  lol

Girl I know all about hiding that crazy scale!  I do good for several days then get on and get disapointed!  I try to tell myself the same thing about it not coming off overnight but it was nice to loose so much at first and then it totally stalls!!  I'm glad to have this site to lean on others going through exactly what I'm going through!  I haven't even been able to do the exercising at all except I'm just now getting around in a store without a motorized cart so to me that a HUGE leap forward so I'm praying it'll go faster now that I can get out and walk a little more.  I can't wait for that.  I got pneumonia the day after surgery and had to stay in the hospital for 4 more days and they said that would set me back some but I had NO idea now much!  But thank God I'm doing much better now!  I'm feeling and seeing a change to so I should be so happy with that, right!  Well hang in there and we'll get through this new life together!    Have a great rest of the weekend and week!  I have my 6 week post op this coming Friday and then I'll get released to do real exercises and I'm very excited about that for the first time EVER!!

Congrats on not needing the motorized cart........that's great! We should look at it this way, at least we're on the losers bench now........that's a great accomplishment in itself!

Okay, I'm feeling a bit better now.  I was so frustrated when I stalled for more than 3 weeks.  What a downer!  I have now just started losing again (4lbs) but thought for sure that this whole surgery, change your life thing, just wasn't going to work for me.  How utterly depressing that was!  At least I know now that I am not the only one.  Maybe I'll be better able to handle my next stall.....maybe!
