October 20th...ONE MORE WEEK!!

Hello All!!

My surgery date is set for Tuesday, Oct. 20th! I think the reality is setting in now. This is REAL!! This is really going to happen! I am SO excited and I'm already losing sleep over it. The what-ifs, the second-guessing, the nervousness and excitement all mixed up together. It's really an indescribable feeling.

I've been a little bit naughty this week...eating some of those things I know I won't be able to eat again (or not for a long while anyway). I haven't over-done it though...but I had to get it out of my system. It's finally the last week of the "old me".

My best friend had her surgery last month and has already lost 22 pounds! She's been my "banding buddy" through this process (the first informational session, pre-op appointments, insurance approval, etc.) and I'm so thankful to have her for support and encouragement.

I'm really looking forward to starting this new chapter in my life. To feel comfortable in my own skin, to feel energetic and alive again...to be a new, improved me. Good luck to all the other October banders!

Good Luck to you.  My surgery is Tuesday as well.  Feelings are about the same.  Lets get this going!
