First, thank you for all the well wishes and Losers joining me on the bench for October 13th!

Went for my Pre-Op appointment on Wednesday 10/07 and was informed that they are going to have to move my date to October 26th.  I had already started my pre-op diet because my Doc requested 2 weeks pre op and was being a good patient and doing as told.   So . . . . I decided to stay on the semi-pre op liquid diet with one meal as a freebie for me for the next four days.   What I have discovered it I really don't want the food; it's not appealing to me at all.   Which is OK & I am kinda glad because I am thinking this will make it easier post-op.

Oh, and for any of you that are worried about Vitamins & Meal Replacements, I tried their sample packet of the different individual servings of meal replacements and they are pretty good!   Just ordered my 3-month supply so that I have them on-hand for post-op and tasted the vitamins.   They are really good!    Here is the site:    http://www.bariatricfusion.com/

Oct 13th WLS friends . . . . save a seat for me!   AND my new friends joining on October 26th!

Awe, sorry to hear that your surgery got moved. Did they say why? I would have been devistated as I have been working myself up all month.

I'm so glad that you managed to have a good attitude about it. Way to go!

I'll see you on the other side! Take care.

I am also OCt. 26th.  I am currently going through the 14 day diet.  I am so excited and am counting down the days.  Only 11 more days in counting.

I am currently keeping busy with trying to tie up lose ends at work and make sure everything is done that is needed to done while I am out on leave.  It makes the time go by faster.

can you believe that we will soon be our new selves.  Healthier and Happier.

Good luck with your surgery, I am having mine done on 10/26 too. I'm excited but starting to feel a little squirrely as the date approaches.

Oh, me too!!   Tomorrow I will have my second quilt finished!!   I have been trying to keep myself busy so I don't have time to focus on it at all.  I don't know about you, but I am really having a hard time staying within the "30g of Carbs" per DAY per my surgeon's request.   I have been on about a 165g of Carbs per day & doing really well . . . . except for the days I totally blow it.

I am assuming on Friday, Oct 23rd at the Pre-op appt & am sure they are going to put me on strick liquid diet for the last 3-days.

Best of Luck!!   Keep us posted on how you are doing.

I am impressed, I didn't know people did much quilting anymore. When I was little I always liked the quilts my aunts and grandma made so much more that store bought.

I am pretty lucky on the strict liquids before surgery, I only have to do the strict liquids the day before surgery. Let me know how everything goes for you too.
