October 13th for Me!!

This was a totally surprise.   Just about three weeks ago when I talked to the insurance company they gave me the impression that I needed more time with the NUT.   More time as in until December.   But come to find out my Doc's office submitted (38 pages) and on Monday, 09/14 I received a call indicating I had been approved for surgery.   At that time on the phone with the Doc's office they said come on in for the pre-op appointment on Wed. 09/23 and how would the date of October 13th be for a surgery date?  

What a blessing in my life.   The timing is better now than waiting until December.

 Hey everyone! I just got my approval today and I am also scheduled for October 13th 

I'm also for the 13th.  Looks like we have a great group for the 13th. I'm just curious to find that you all have to do pre-op.  Liquid diets?  Are you nervous or excited?  I'm going on 09-24 for my pre-op teaching appointment.  I was able to lose the 5% requested by my program.  YIPPEE.  No problem for me with insurance.  I work at the hospital and they cover WLS 100% for employees.  (thank God). 

My date is the 13th as well i am so nervous and anxious at the same time!!! Any good tips. Have you already started shopping for things like food contains scales and measuring cups? I feel lost on that part...
