October 6th is when my life will change!

I just found this site the other day and my surgery date is also Oct 6th!  I know I don't know either of you but I'll be praying for both of you on OUR big day!!    I can't wait!  I'm also scared too!

YAY! Two people that are on the same day as me!! It all seams sureal to me now, Its weird there is this calm about it like It's not just around the corner, then when I think about it I get all nervous. I just cant wait. I will keep you both in my prayers! Good Luck see you guys on the loser bench!

Well, looks like I wont be going for surgery on the 6th. Insurance says I am not covered. I dont have the money to pay for it outright, and No one is accepting loan applications for my state. I am so bummed. Blah!

I'm sorry to hear that your insurance says you’re not covered.  What kind of insurance do you have?  Appeal Appeal Appeal..

I started this journey a year ago.  I was denied by insurance in Nov of 2008.  I thought to myself it wasn't the right time.  I kind of put it on a back burner.  I started to work out in May 2009, than a friend asked me about the LapBand surgery and if I was interested, that she wanted more info.  We went to a seminar.  I schedule an appointment with the doctor, etc.  Now I'm approved and having LapBanding on Oct 6 2009.

Don't give up.  When the time is right it will happen.

I have Healthnet insurance. They said that I dont have coverage for this surgery. I am appealing it, but they say it will most likely be denied because I dont have that coverage. I need a rider and my husband got laid off from his employer so we cant ever get that. So I guess its just a waiting game now. But good luck with you banding. Hope all goes well for you.

I'm the same day as you - how fun...I feel the same way - I vascillate between - I'm doing the right thing - what am I doing - No, I'm doing the right thing and so on....now I'm starting to just stay excited....it is weird.  Hope we can stay in contact....Good luck to you.
