It gets better. I am on day 5 of my ALL CLEAR LIQUID DIET except for 3 protein shakes a day which can be mixed with low fat milk. I feel it is getting easier day by day because I am in the mindset that if I mess up I risk myself injury to my liver plus I have to drop some weight before surgery day.......which is in 11 days. Yeah!!!
My suggestion would be to keep yourself busy. Keep yourself away from foods when your family is eating & chew gum.

I chrush ice and eat it. Good luck. My dr lets us eat a small dinner and some fruit. You can't eat anything?? I hope you make it
Topic: Oct 14 th is suregery day getting Very excited and scared.
I am So excited for my suregery so I can start to lose weight. but Wow I am so Scared.. I wi**** was tomorrow. I hope they give me something to calm me down before. I schedule a vacation with my friends three days before my surgery so I will be home the day before. Figured that would help the last few days but noww I just cant wait..

hello and congrats to you i am new also in fact you are the first i have written i also will be banded here in illinois next thursday i am so excited to say the least well good luck to you our surgery date is sort of like a new birthdate!!!!

Hi all - this is my first forum post at Obesity Help! I am on the fast track - seminar late August, surgeon consult 9/22, dietrician and psych consults today, and surgery 10/13. I am self-pay so no insurance hoops to jump through. I'm nervous, and a little scared, and anxious, and tired of the wait already - I just want it over with so I get get on with it!
I turned 50 this year so I have the 2nd half of my life waiting for me ~~ and it's going to be healthy, fit, and maybe even longer than the first half (if that makes any sense
).
I am having Lap-Band, and if all goes well, I will be the first at this hospital to have it as day surgery. In the OR at 8AM, barium swallow by noon, and discharged by 1PM.
