Hi Renee,

I am doing great! I have lost 66 lbs since surgery and a total of 106 since last August. I never thought that I would reach my goal in such a short time. I will be discussing with my Dr next month exactly where my weight should be. I am 5' 4 1/2" and now a size 6 (that floors me!!).

Congratulations on your success and better health!!

How are my October 2008 surgery buddies doing now that we are 5 months post-op? I am feeling so unbelievably great these days! I love my sleeve and how it has changed my life. I have lost since surgery 70 lbs.  and 83 since my high in 8/2008 and no longer on diabetes meds and have since reduced my hypertension medication! I recently started water aerobics and after the shock of exercise wore off, I am loving that too! I hope you all are doing great too!

Take care,

Topic: RE: Attention October Surgeries
I'm back - It's been 4 months since surgery.  I'm down a total of 35 pounds!  Woo-Hoo!!  I have had 4 fills, and was told I have a total of 5cc's of saline in a 10cc band.  I am now noticing the difference.  I am fuller faster and it takes me longer to eat, chewing and chewing.  The last 2 months I've lost a few pounds, it is coming off slowly...but as long as it comes off, I'm happy.  I am down 2 pant sizes, it's so crazy.  Even as I type this now, I am so amazed I had the surgery and I'm on my way to a healthy life.  Hope the rest of the you are also feeling well.

You people that get all mad at others for "breaking the rules" crack me up. What you don't seem to realize is that just about every person on these forums has a different list of "rules," because we all have different doctors!

For instance, mashed potatoes were part of my "mushies" diet. For others they are a complete no-no.

So, in the future, before you criticize others for "breaking the rules," understand that your rules are not everyone's rules.

I had VSG on October 3rd 2008. I've lost 44 pounds and I also do feel very hungry. I do sit on the table and eat when I'm hungry but only a bite or two. I like sncking on soy nuts. It's healthy and good.

Topic: RE: 9 week update-Protein?
Hi all!  I had surgery on Oct. 21 and due to strictures have had trouble getting all of my protein and water.  However, now I am better, feeling great and getting them in.  I just wanted to chime in that I really love the Syntrax Nectar protein drinks, especially the fuzzy navel (sooooo yummy).  I start off with one of those in the morning and it's like starting my day off with a glass of juice.  I went to my 3 month appointment on Friday and am down 126 from the first consult appointment and 78 since surgery.
