Topic: I'm home from my VSG surgery!!!
OMG I feel fantastic! I was the model patient who did what I was told, got up and walked like I was supposed to, did my breating exercises and recovered very quickly. I was only in the hospital Tue morning til Thur evening. I could have gotten out earlier in the afternoon but the dr got held up in surgery & still had to come remove my drain.
I'm happy to be home! I can go back to work. I haven't been on pain meds since Wed evening before bed. But I do notice I get tired quicker & have to be careful when bending over.....or try to not bend over cuz it hurts.
Thanks for all the prayers & thoughts! I hope everyone else's surgeries go just as great as mine did! I wasn't even nervous at all going in and even walked myself into the OR.

Well i have made it home. every thing went ok. Just a little sore around my g-tube. Thanks to all who sent a prayer. Now the work begins.

My surgery is on the 20th also. I am very ready to start a new life. As far as the blood clots go, my doctor is sending me home on lovenox. You might ask your doctor about it. Best of luck to you!

I was set for surgery November 5th, but got a call today (well yesterday now cuz it's after midnight) that they rescheduled me to October 24th!

I'm in the same position of you, I had my surgery yesterday and got home late today. I also have some pain in my stomach and left shoulder. Congrats on your surgery

Hi m.a. I am scheduled for the surgery on 10-22-08. How did you do on the liquid diet? Any tips for me? I started my liquid diet on 10-21-08 and I am having a hard time.
