Topic: For anyone 10+ days out... I have a question for you.
Hi October Gang.

I'm due to have my RNY Nov 10.
Every year I go power shopping on Black Friday (day after US Thanksgiving). By power shop, I mean midnight till 8pm.  I believe Black Friday falls on Nov 21 which means I'll only be 11 days out by that time.

Tell me, how do you feel today? Would you be up for this kind of shopping?

I can't see it happening, but my husband wants me to ask someone who knows. I figure who better to ask then you.

Thanks so much

Topic: RE: Anyone have a date of 11/18??
That is amazing. I met a man at the GNC store today that had lost 200 pounds. He looked fantastic. I ask him if he had any regrets. He said only the first week. Now he his very happy. I also watched big medicine last night. There was a 1000 pound man that had the surgery and had lost 450, so far. He was a work in progress.(me too)  That was amazing. He put clothes on and sat up for the first time in 10 years. I saw them do the surgery. There was also a man on there that only weighed 260. The doctor said it was harder to operate on him than it was to work on the 1000 pound man. The second man had what they called a beer belly. His weight was mostly in his belly. (I have a lot there too). They said that there was a lot of fat around his organs. I probably shouldn'****ch those shows, but it always turns out ok on t.v. LOL Take care.

Terrified!!, I will be glad when I can say I had surgery two months ago. By that time, it will be over and I should be feeling ok. I hope to be a few pounds lighter too!!

Topic: RE: Just started Pre-op Diet and I am starving to death!!!
Thank you so much.  I have been drinking broth, and yes, it does help, a lot!  Also SF popsicles are pretty great too.  I KNOW I can do this, but it is difficult.  I am keeping busy because I have so much to do.  I am very scattered.  I don't know if it is because I am so hungry I lose track of what I am doing (lay things down, can't find them a minute later), or just that I have so many things to do and so much on my mind that I am pretty (more than usual) senile.

I am so impressed with you.  You have lost so much and not that long ago, you sounded like me.  Concerned, not knowing what to expect, etc.  Now you are on the loser's bench (BIG TIME) and helping those of us coming behind.

Thanks again.

God Bless,

Kathi
